Anonymous: I switched birth controls and my period hasn't come and I'm 8 days late. Is it normal to have delayed/changed periods when switching birth control? I've taken pregnancy tests and they all come out negative.

This is completely normal. As your body adjusts to the new levels of hormones it may take a little bit for your cycle to regulate itself again.

The most accurate time to take a pregnancy test is if your period is late, which is when you took yours, so it should be accurate.

If you are still concerned however, you can also speak with the health care provider that prescribed your specific brand of birth control.
