If two partners are engaging in manual sex, or handjobs, there is generally no risk for pregnancy. A pregnancy can only occur if sperm are deposited directly onto the vaginal opening or inside of the vagina.

If the partner giving the handjob has their clothes on, or at least their underwear, there is no risk for pregnancy since even if semen gets onto their clothes, sperm cannot swim through clothing. If both partners choose to be completely naked when engaging in manual sex, using a condom can prevent semen from getting onto the female partner’s vulva.
