Anonymous: On your FAQ page for "Can fingering or a hand job lead to pregnancy or an STD?" it is stated that "There’s almost no risk of pregnancy from fingering or hand jobs." I have two questions pertaining to this: 1. I realize that if a guy gets ejaculate on his finger then puts it immediately into his girlfriend, this can cause pregnancy. However, what I want to know is how viable the risk is and how much ejaculate needs to be on his hand? 2. How can giving a guy a handjob get someone pregnant?
Hi anon,
These are great questions!
1. There isn’t a real way to quantify the exact risk in terms of a percentage. It only takes one sperm to cause a pregnancy, and there are millions in the about two teaspoons that a male ejaculates, so there doesn’t have to be that much ejaculate to cause a pregnancy. However, the risk is lower than if a male were to ejaculate directly inside of the vagina or onto the vaginal opening.
2. The same way as above, if a female, who not clothed below the waist, were to give her male partner a handjob, get ejaculate on her hand and then place her hand on her vulva or inside of her vagina then a pregnancy could occur.
And, of course, there is also s high risk for the transmission of STDs if semen is deposited onto the vuvla or inside of the vagina.
I hope this helps!
