Anonymous: I received a very poor sexual education course in high school that left me with many questions. First off, how to you put on a condom and how can you tell which condom will work best for the individual? If you're circumcised do you need a different condom all together? My other question was does the frequency of pre-cum when getting an erection decrease over time (after puberty)? Thank you!

    Hi anon,

Here’s an FAQ from our website that walks you through all of the steps to properly using a condom.

And here’s an FAQ about finding the right condom for you and your partner.

Males who are circumcised and uncircumcised can use condoms in the exact same way.

And, to answer your last question, pre-cum—or pre-ejaculate—cleans out the urethra of urine to make it easier for sperm to survive. Urine kills sperm so cleansing the urethra of urine allows sperm to survive and able to cause a pregnancy. Pre-ejaculate is secreted throughout a male’s life.

    I hope this helps!
